KATHUA, Mar 21: Police Kathua organized 2 days Range Level Sports Festival, under Civic Action Programme J&K Police at District Police Lines, here.
The aim of the Festival was to promote sports activities in the state to hone their skill in the field of sports. Various teams from different educational institutes, besides locals teams participated in different sports events. The events organized included Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Tug of War, 100 meters sprint and 200 meters race.
Pawan Parihar, SSP Kathua distributed the prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion. Dr. Parul Bardhbaj, DySP DAR was also present on the occasion.
Jai Bhawani Club and Trikuta Club won the Volleyball boys and girls events respectively, while Govt HSS Kathua and Kabaddi Club Nagri claimed Kabaddi boys and girls titles respectively. The Kho-Kho event was won by Govt HSS Hatli, while Gujjar Hostel bagged boys Tug of War title and the Tug of War title in girls was claimed by GGHSS Kathua. Shiv Kumar and Roshan Bibi clinched gold in 100 meters and 200 meters boys and girls sprint race respectively.
