JAMMU, Apr 5: Kashyap Cricket Club lifted the KPL Veteran Cup (27th Edition) by defeating Kongposh Cricket Club by 3 wickets in a thrilling final. Batting first, Kongposh posted 114 runs in 20 overs, with Vinod Bhat top-scoring at 40 and Vikas Bhat adding 17. Sunny Bhan starred with the ball, claiming 5 crucial wickets.
Chasing the target, Kashyap reached 115/7 in 19.3 overs, powered by Deepak’s brilliant 39 and Sunny Bhan’s 30 runs. Rajesh Khatri picked up 4 wickets for Kongposh.
Sunny Bhan was named Man of the Match, Deepak received Best Batsman and Most Valuable Player awards, while Rohit Ambardar was Best Bowler of the Tournament. The event, organized in memory of Late Sanjay Bhat by Sanjeev Kant Sharma, Anil Ambardar and Sanjay Koul, saw Dr Ravinder Tickoo and dignitaries grace the prize distribution.
