JAMMU, Feb 26: Karnataka thrashed Jammu and Kashmir by 48 runs in rain-hit 7 overs-a-side match of the ongoing Senior Women’s T20 League at MBB Stadium, Agartala.
Earlier, put into bat, Tamil Nadu scored 70/4 in 7 overs. Vanitha top scored with 44 runs, while skipper Rakshita K contributed 8 runs to the total.
From Jammu and Kashmir, Kousar Jabeen, skipper Sarla Devi and Rubia Syed took one wicket each.
In reply, J&K managed to score 22 runs in 7 overs for the loss of 6 wickets, thus lost the match by 48 runs. None of the batswomen could cross the double figure mark. Sarla Devi (7) and Bismah Hassan (6) were the main contributors. From Karnataka, C Prathyusha took 2 wickets, while Chandu V claimed one wicket.
With this win Tamil Nadu earned 4 points, while Jammu and Kashmir failed to secure any point.
