KARGIL, Mar 23: District Police Kargil organized Inter-School Quiz Competition under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Higher Secondary School, Yourlbaltak, here.
Nine Schools of the district participated in the competition.
About 200 students took part in the competition to vie for the top honours.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Gulzar Hussain was the chief guest on the occasion, who lauded the efforts of Kargil Police especially, SSP Kargil, Tsering Gyalpo.
Imtiyaz Kacho, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil was also present on the occasion.
The chief guest and the other dignitaries distributed prizes among the first, second and third position holders on the occasion. A cash prize of Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,500 was presented to first three positions respectively.
DySP DAR Kargil, Rigzin Sangdup conducted proceedings of the valedictory function, while Nawang Nurboo, Senior PO Kargil conducted the proceedings of the Quiz Competition.
