Kalra flags off J&K Blind Cricketers for National Camp

JAMMU, Apr 26: Ranjeet Kalra, Vice Chairman Jammu Sports Council flagged off J&K Blind Cricketers for National Camp in the presence of Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer and Former Ranji Trophy Player and Ajay Kumar Thakur, President J&K Blind Cricket Association in an impressive function at MA Stadium, here.
Rajesh Gill, Coordinator of the event apprised the chief guest that J&K Police is time and again providing opportunity to Blind Cricket team of J&K to showcase talent and also helps it to participate in the national level tournaments.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranjeet Kalra  congratulated the specially-abled cricketers for their selection in the ten days national coaching camp at Bangalore for their further selection in zonal level tournaments. Kalra said that it is a honour for him to be associated and to contribute towards the promotion of blind cricketers in the state.
He also complimented Mr Gill for promoting them and thanked Er Chetan Kesar for sponsoring the railway tickets of the selected players.
Kalra also assured The Association help from J&K State Sports Council.
