J&K State Jeet Kune Do C’ship gets underway

SRINAGAR, Apr 26: The three-day J&K State Jeet Kune Do Championship was inaugurated on Thursday at S K Indoor Stadium Complex in the summer capital, Srinagar.
Over 800 participants from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir are taking part in the championship, making it one of the biggest state level martial art event held in the valley.
The players who will be selected in this State championship will be qualified to participate in the National Federation Cup of Jeet Kune Do to be held in the summer capital, Srinagar in the month of July.
Several top players, who have represented J&K and India at various national and international events, dazzled the audience with their entertaining demonstrations.
Hafsa Bhatt, showcased self-defence techniques and body flexibility while Atif and Faraz demonstrated “Tuls” (combination of martial art steps) on the occasion.
