Kalaripayattu Asso holds Training Camp

JAMMU, Mar 18: To give fillip to the newly introduced game of Kalaripayattu in Jammu and Kashmir make the players ready for taking part in the events at the higher levels, Kalaripayattu Association of Jammu and Kashmir organized a Training Camp, which got underway, here today.
The J&K Unit of Association was formed with Dr SM Bali as its president, Tarsem Sharma as general secretary and Subhash Sharma as the treasurer.
The training was imparted to the players to make them fit for the selection of the State team, which is scheduled to participate in the National Kalaripayattu Championship to be held at New Delhi on March 29 and March 30, 2018.
The Training was bestowed to the players by General Secretary of Indian Kalaripayattu Federation (IKF) and a technical expert of the Federation from Kerala.
Dr Bali assured the Federation that the game will soon flourish in J&K because Martial Art is traditional sport and heritage of India.
