JAMMU, Sept 22: Inter School and District Level Tournaments, being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, were played at different venues.
JAMMU: Inter School District Level Athletic Meet for boys under all age category, which was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, concluded at MA Stadium, here.
In under-14 category, Rand-eep Singh of MHAC Nagbani, Navdeep Singh of APS Kalu Chak and Mohammad Sultan of GHSS Kandoli bagged first, second and third positions respectively in 200 meters.
In under-17 category, Gourav Kumar of APS Kalu Chak, Adhav Sharma of DPS Jammu and Mohit Chouhan of MHAC Nagbani clinched first, second and third positions respectively in 200 meters.
In under-19 category, Ajay Lakha of DBN Talab Tillo, Sajjad Hussain of GHSS Sruinsar and Harmeet Singh of DPS Jammu secured first, second and third positions respectively in 200 meters.
In under-17 category, Rahul Singh of GHS Sagoon, Mohammad Munir of GHS Jhajjar Kotli and Bua Ditta of GHS Khanna Chhargal clinched first, second and third positions respectively in 1500 meters.
In under-19 category, Ajay Kumar of GHS SRML, Nittan Kumar of GHSS Khour and Komal Choudhary of GBHSS RS Pura bagged first, second and third positions respectively in 1500 meters.
In under-14 Discuss Throw, Kabir Choudhary of APS Sunjwan, Suraj Kumar of KB Public School and Gourav Kumar of APS Kalu Chak clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-17 Discuss Throw, Roshan Singh of MHAC Nagbani, Kanu Kumar of GBHS Simbal Camp and Parveen Kumar of GGHS Sohanjana bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 Discuss Throw, Loveleen Singh of St Peter Karan Bagh, Sahil Kumar of MHAC Nagbani and Dhanajay of SRML secured first, second and third positions respectively.
REASI: Three-Day Divis-ional Level Inter-District Volleyball Championship for under-14, 17 and 19 girls concluded at General Zorawar Sports Stadium, here.
In under-17 category, Samba thrashed Reasi by straight three sets with the score of 25-18, 25-22 and 25-16. In this category, Anant Bhavya Kochar of Samba was adjudged ‘Player of the Tournament’. Renuka Bhagat of Samba was another star performer for the winning side.
In under-19 final, Jammu defeated Udhampur by 3-0 with the scores of 25-18, 27-25 and 25-15. Anjali Chib of Jammu got the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award. Simran Bhagat, Kajal Chib and Rifat Choudary put up winning combination for their side.
Mahesh Sharma, District Treasury Officer Reasi, was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, who awarded winners and the runner-up teams.
