JAMMU, Dec 15: To select the State senior men and women teams, the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association will be conducting selection trials from December 18 to December 20, 2014, at Green Field ground Gandhi Nagar, here.
According to a handout issued here by general secretary of the Association, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, the Association has directed all the affiliated districts and clubs of the State to send their registered players (men and women) of State Association for the trials on the said dates.
“The selected State teams will participate in 62nd Senior National Kabaddi Championship to be held on January 14 to January 18, 2015 at Tirucengode in Tamilnadu”, informed Anil Gupta, president of the Association.
Mr Gupta has advised all the registered players in men and women section of the State to bring their Voter Card, or Aadhar Card or Passport during the trials as only eligible men below 80 kgs and women below 70 kgs weight are eligible for trials.
The teams will be selected by the Selection Committee headed by Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman, while the other members include M S Baba, Convener, Dinesh Gupta, Co- Convener, Rakesh Sharma, International player, Sangram Singh, Vijay Dhar, B S Tirthi, NIS coach and Ajay Gupta, NIS coach.
