JU’s Annual Sports Calendar to begin from Aug 27

JAMMU, May 26: A meeting of the Physical Directors/ In-charge Sports of the various affiliated colleges with the University of Jammu was held at the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education under the convenership of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director to finalize  the Annual Sports Calendar for the organization of the various Inter-Collegiate Tournaments for the session 2018-19.
The  meeting was attended by the representatives from the SPMR College of Commerce, GCW Gandhi Nagar, GGM Science College, GDC Rajouri, Govt. College of Education Jammu, GDC Paloura, GDC Akhnoor, GDC Bishnah, GDC Khour, GDC Hiranagar, GDC kathua, GCW Kathua, GCW Parade, GDC Ramnagar, GDC RS Pura, MBSCET Jammu, GDC Reasi, GDC Billawar, GDC Mendhar, GCET Jammu, GDC Samba, ASCOMS Jammu, YCET Jammu, GDC Poonch besides the coaches and contractual faculty members of the  Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu.
After the threadbare discussion, the annual sports calendar was approved by the members, which would commence from August 27, 2018 with the organization of the Inter-Collegiate Cross Country (M) Championship.
The activities will culminate in the 2nd week of February, 2019 with the organization of the Inter-Collegiate Annual Athletic Meet 2018-19.
