KATHUA, July 11: District Judo Championship, organised by the District Judo Association under the aegis of Judo Association of J&K, supported by J&K Sports Council, concluded at District Coaching Centre, here today.
Suraj Sharma, general secretary of Judo Association Jammu & Kashmir was the chief guest, while Councillor, Rahul Dev was the guest of honour. The bouts were officiated by Shakti Gupta (Sports Council Coach) and Manish Chatwal (Judo Instructor).
About 80 Judokas from all over the district participated in the championship.
The Gold winners of the championship were Harsh, Sudanshi, Vipul Yashovardhan, Zeeshan, Susheel, Deepasha, Kashish Sharma, Palak, Devanshu, Anmol, Sameena, Sunakshi, Panku Kumar, Radhasham, Bhupinder, Tarun, Rohit Sharma, Astitar Andotra, Manan, Anab, Jaishwer, Artik Mushtaq, Harshit, Sahil Akthar, Bansh, Danish and Tanvir, whereas Silver medals were secured by Chandan, Pranav, Sunny, Tarun, Krishna, Ayush, Mohit, Mridhul, Daksh, Shivang, Harishit, Gagan, Lakshay, Umkeshwar and Kanav.
Balish Kumar, Bagh Hussain, Abey Salgotra, Atulit, Lalit Khajuria, Ajay Chalotra, Tushar and Vasu were Bronze medal winners of the championship.
