JAMMU, Feb 15: In an ongoing All India Inter-University Wushu (M&W) Championship 2023-24, the Sanda & Taolu (Men and Women) competitions were held at University Gymnasium Hall here today.
Prof. Alka Sharma Director SIIEDC, University of Jammu was chief guest on the occasion alongwith Suhel Ahmed Chief Jury Member and Dr Sumita Sharma, President JUOWA. Prof. Alka Sharma interacted with the players and officials of Taolu Event of Wushu and appreciated their performance.
The University of Jammu team won medals in Taolu events. In Shnangalo; Pushapkant Sharma (Silver Medal), Simran Magotra (Bronze Medal), Karun Ghale (Bronze medal), Shubam Kumar Sharma (Silver Medal) (Xingyiguan) Mehak Thakur (Bronze Medal) Shnangjian
The bouts of Round 2nd in Sanda (Male) in all 11 weight categories were conducted whereas in the Women Sanda event; the bouts of third Round were conducted. The All India Inter-University Wushu (M&W) Championship 2023-24 was conducted under the direct supervision of Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu.
