SRINAGAR, Sept 3: University of Jammu thrashed Rahuri University Maharashtra by wickets in the All India Vice Chancellors T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by University of Kashmir, here.
Batting first, Rahuri University scored a paltry total of 88 runs.
In reply, Jammu University chased the target in 13.2 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match easily by 6 wickets. Vishal Sudan, who top scored with 26 runs was declared as the man of the match. Blawant Singh claimed 2 wickets, while Rajesh Salhotra, Pawan Singh Bhau and Avtar Singh claimed one wicket each.
Earlier on September 2, JU beat HPU Shimla by 22 runs.
Pawan Singh Bhau, President JUNTEU congratulated the team for the superb win. Sham Lal, team manager also lauded the efforts of the players for good show.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, JU complemented the players and the support staff for brilliant display.
