JU team wins first prize in Skit Competition

JAMMU, Feb 14: The team of Jammu University team won first prize in Skit Competition in 5-day 32nd National Youth Festival which concluded at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, today.
Around 79 universities from 5 zones covered under AIU participated in this prestigious national event to showcase the talent of youth.
In a tough competition, the team of Jammu University secured first position for the Skit “Kuch To Socho” and received high appreciation from the audience and Judges for performance and for its originality and simplicity of theme.
The skit in a very inquisitive manner reflected on different issues like demonetization, women empowerment, pollution, corruption etc. in a satirical manner.
Jammu University team was headed by Prof. Satnam Kour, Dean Students Welfare.
The skit was written and directed by Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) and Kulbhushan Thakur managed the lights and sound.
The students who performed in the skit included Richa Sharma, Gauri Thakur, Pallavi Kunwer, Simran Jaral, Neerja Bharti and Shruti Sharma.
