JAMMU, Aug 19: J P World School, Jammu, held a special function today to honour its academic toppers for the previous session.
The occasion was graced by Farooq Qaiser, SSP Traffic Police Jammu, as the chief guest. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a melodious performance by the school’s music faculty, setting a celebratory tone.
The highlight of the day was the formal presentation of duties to the newly elected Student Council members, who pledged to uphold the school’s values of sincerity, honesty and responsibility.
The council members included Harshit Sharma as Head Boy, Ipshita as Head Girl, Parsa as Sports Captain, Hassan as Vice Sports Captain, Alankrita Jamwal as Discipline Captain, Afreen as Vice Discipline Captain, Ayesha Arshad as Cultural Captain, Sadaf as Vice Cultural Captain, Falak as House Captain (Legacy), Aahana as Vice House Captain (Legacy), Misbah Javed as House Captain (Ambition), Vishwash Singh Bhadwal as Vice House Captain (Ambition), Avanish as House Captain (Discovery), Vishpreet Singh as Vice House Captain (Discovery), Navya as House Captain (Spirit) and Ansh Sharma as Vice House Captain (Spirit).
In his address, Farooq Qaiser highlighted the importance of discipline, accountability, and civic responsibility. He stressed the need for students to act as role models for their peers while underlining the significance of following traffic rules for individual safety and societal well-being. “Respecting traffic laws is not only about safety but also a reflection of civic sense and discipline,” he told the gathering.
School’s Principal, Aparna Kohli, urged the student leaders and academic toppers to lead with integrity and strive for excellence.
The event concluded with the National Anthem, instilling pride and unity among all present.
