Jodhamal Youth Conclave inaugurated

JAMMU, Oct 1: The fifth chapter of Jodhamal Youth Conclave (JYC) was inaugurated at Multipurpose Hall of Jodhamal Public School, here today.
The JYC is an effort that has been initiated by Jodhamal to make the students aware of the fast changing global politics, social and environmental scenarios. More than 350 students from around 20 schools are attending the three days function, while the delegates from Mayo College (Ajmer), Scindia Schools (Gwalior) and YPS Patiala are also participating in JYC 2022.
Vijay Bakaya, IAS (Retd.), former Chief Secretary J&K graced the occasion as the chief guest and gave an inspirational keynote address which stirred the entire conference. The JYC 2022 theme is “establishing morality in mayhem” and the montage was released.
The best part of the JYC was that it is by the students, for the students and of the students’ initiative. The Conference Director is Anjali Gupta and the mentor teachers are Mubeen Butt, Deepmal and Pooja Sharma, while Varisha Bari, Anoop and Karanpreet Kour are the mentor cum escort teachers of Mayo College (Ajmer), Scindia Schools (Gwalior) and YPS Patiala respectively.
The eight committees of JYC 2022 are United Nations General Assembly (The 6th Committee), All India Political Party Meet, United Nations Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, United Nations Peacebuilding Commission, United Nations General Assembly (DISEC), International Press Corps, International Consortium of Journalism and Lok Sabha.
The Directorate of JYC-2022 are Karmanya Wahi, Lakshav Singh Sambyal, Ayaan Malhotra, Akshat Dogra, Kush Manchanda, Suhani Sharma, Vinisha Barala, Aanya Anand, Divyanshi Takroo and Harshal Chawla. The magazine of JYC 2022 was also released at the ceremony.
The meet was declared open by the Secretary General Karmanya Wahi and the entire Directorate welcomed all the guests and dignitaries. Trustee Nandan Kuthiala, Director Arati Kuthiala along with the Principal Dr Deep Khare and Vice Principal Shefali Sanwal witnessed the program.
