Jodhamal skaters excel in North Zone Roller Skating C’ship

JAMMU, Sept 2: The young skaters of Jodhamal brought laurels to the institution by winning the overall trophy in the just concluded North Zone Roller Skating Championship at Delhi.
The Championship was hosted by the Roller Skating Federation of Delhi and teams from Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Delhi participated in it.
Jodhamal Roller Hockey Team Members in Sub-Junior were Keshav Basotra, Sushant Gupta, Ashmit Jandyal, Arindam Langer, Jaskaran Singh, Yugraj Singh and in the final matches, they defeated teams from Chandigarh, Haryana, and Delhi States and were declared champions. In the Junior Section the team members were Rishab Basotra, Guruashish Choudhary, Raghav Gupta, Jaideep Singh and Yuvraj Singh. They defeated teams from Chandigarh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab States.
Aman Anand accompanied the team as coach.
Jodhamal School was declared as the Champion School in the North Zone Competitions.
Five of the Jodhamal skaters proved their mettle by winning 5 silvers and 5 bronze medals in the 500 Meters and 1000 Meters Speed Skating Competitions. The skaters Keshav Basotra, Rishabh Basotra, Arindam Langer, Ashmit Jandyal and Jaskaran Singh won 1 silver and 1 bronze each in both the events. Principal of the School, Trilok Singh Bist and the School Management lauded the efforts of the students for their outstanding display.
