JAMMU, May 8: By winning maximum medals, Jodhamal School dominated day-1 of the Roller Skating Championship, organized by Glider Roller Skating Club, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Association, which got underway at newly established Skating Rink in MA Stadium, here.
Sidharth Sharma, Joint Secretary, J&K State Sports Council was the chief guest on the inaugural ceremony, while Rajan Sharma, Sports Officer was the guest of honour, who declared the Championship open in a well attended function.
GS Khurmi, president, J&K Roller Skating Association, Roshan Gupta, PP Singh, Sema Kharyal and Kamal Anand, president Glider Roller Skating Club and organizing secretary of the event were present on the occasion.
In quads Under-16 boys, Kartik Gupta bagged gold and Hayaan Ali won silver, while in quads 6-8 boys, Aryan Wadera won gold, Saboor Ganai bagged silver, while Shourya Sambyal and Divansh shared bronze and in 8-10 boys, Nityam Choudhary, Ansh Gupta and Krish Verma claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In 10-12 boys, Panini, Asim Khan and Aditya bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 12-14 boys, Rakshit won gold, Dhruv Gupta, silver and Manav Chib, bronze and in 14-16 boys, Palav Gupta clinched gold, Lakshya bagged silver and Rohit claimed bronze. In quads above-16 boys, Antrishq Mansotra won gold, Aryaveer bagged silver and Sunny Mehra clinched bronze.
In quads 6-8 girls, Garima Sudan won gold, Ayesha Hayat bagged silver and Shweta Sharma claimed bronze, while in 8-10 girls, Dhriti Bansal bagged gold, while Ashlisha Jamwal and Arshita Khajuria bagged silver and bronze medals respectively.
In 10-12 girls, Akriti, Soina and Palak bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 14-16 girls, Mansi Sharma bagged gold.
In inline 6-8 boys, Yuvraj Singh, Arnav Thakur and Rajvansh claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 8-10, Tanish, Sevadani and Mehul Sharma claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. In inline 12-14, Mahijuba and Aksa claimed gold and silver respectively.
In inline 6-8 girls, Gursimran Kour won gold, while in 8-10, Saanch Anand and Priyanshu Raina bagged silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 10-12, Jaipreet Singh, Ankit and Eklavya claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. Prabjot Singh won gold in 12-14 inline.
In 0-6 loose bearing skates 300 mts boys, Sayeeb, Daksh and Arnavveer Singh won gold, silver and bronze, while in 6-8 boys, Ritvik, Azhaan Ali and Anuvrat Sharma bagged gold, silver and bronze respectively.
IN 8-10 300 mts boys, Sahildeep Singh claimed gold, Varun Bhatti, silver and the bronze was shared by Kamleshwar and Divij Datta.
10-12 300 mts boys gold went to Aman Singh, while Sahil Kumar and Anuragh claimed silver and bronze medals respectively. In 12-14 boys, Mandeep Singh bagged gold and Anuragh claimed silver.
In loose bearing skates 0-6 girls, Minal Kaur bagged gold, while Annashri Pargal won silver, while in 6-8 girls, Aaseas, Mallika and Ipsa bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. In 8-10 girls, Anshika, Aina Khajuria and Malika won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 10-12 girls, Manayata won gold and in 12-14 Janvi Gupta clinched gold medal.
