J&K’s Prinkle to play on Wimbledon Courts

JAMMU, Apr 11: Ace tennis player, Prinkle Singh of Jammu and Kashmir, has earned the rights to play on the Wimbledon Courts, London in August this year. The CLTA trainee blanked Shreya Gulia (6-0, 6-0) in a one-sided semifinal match of the ongoing HSBC Road to Wimbledon Masters Under-14 Tournament held at New Delhi to qualify for the world finals going to be held in London.
Both the finalists in the boys and girls sections of the Indian circuit of the ‘Road to Wimbledon’ will play in the world finals to be held on the Wimbledon courts.
“I am very happy with my effort and will try and win the final too. It’s a dream come true for me. And I am sure I will put up a good show there,” said Prinkle, who will face Mehak Jain in the final tomorrow.
