JAMMU, Oct 2: JKP Women T20 Cricket Cup, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police will commence at Gulshan Ground, here from tomorrow.
Four teams namely Jammu Greens Cricket Eleven, Jammu Reds Cricket Eleven, Rajasthan Pink Cricket Eleven and Madhya Pradesh Blues Cricket Eleven will be participating in the Tournament.
The tournament wll be played on league cum knockout basis with an objective to provide opportunity to the State women cricketers to play with the national players of other States in order to hone their skill and get much required exposure.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Danish Rana, IGP Jammu and the Organizing Committee members include Mohan Lal, SSP Traffic, Ashok Sharma SO to IGP Jammu, Sanjeev Khajuria SSP, Parshotam Sharma DDP, Hilal Rather, Rajesh Dhar, Vivek Sharma, Inspector Shakti Sharma SHO City and RP Singh, while Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer (former Ranji Player) is the organizing secretary of the tournament.
The panel of officials include Sudhir Singh , Saleem-ur-Rehman, Sadiq Hussain Malik, Suhail Yousuf, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod Kandayara and Nitu.
The Jammu teams were selected for the said event by the former Ranji Players Vivek Sharma and Rajesh Gill during the net sessions at MA Stadium Jammu.
The Jammu Greens Cricket team includes Harjot Kour, Meenu Singh Slathia, Jyoti Bala, Meenu Sharma, Sandhya Sayal, Neeru Manhas, Niharika, Puja Sharma, Tanisha Sharma, Jaspreet Kour, Payal Choudhary, Jaswinder Kour, Sonika Raina and Pushpa. The Coach of the team is Veena Sharma SAI Cricket Coach.
The Jammu Reds Cricket team includes Sarla, Sandeep Kour, Sanjana, Anju Choudhary, Sanju Bala, Naina, Ashima Pathania, Bhawika Malohtra, Heena Kouser, Nadiya Choudhary, Sunita Devi, Heena Mehua, Nishawika, Puja Kumari and Isha Jamwal. The Coach of the team is Anju Gupta.
“The Sponsors of the tournament are Surya Sports, Ishar Sports and Sunil Sports. The inaugural match of the Tournament will be played between Jammu Greens Cricket Eleven and Rajasthan Pink Cricket Eleven informed by the Rajesh Gill, Organizing Secretary of the tournament.
