JKP takes on Rehari Club in summit clash of Eid-Diwali Milan Cup

JAMMU, Nov 16: JKP Cricket XI and Rehari Cricket Club registered resounding victories over their rivals in the semifinals and will clash for the title of the ongoing 3rd Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup at Gulshan Ground, here tomorrow.
Ashok Sharma SSP, SO to IGP Jammu was the chief guest in today’s match who was introduced with the teams and the match officials on the occasion. He wished best of luck to the teams for their best performance in the semifinal and final matches and for their great career in life. He also congratulated the JKP XI for its convincing win in the semifinal.
The Tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Shakeel Beig, DIG Jammu and jointly organized by J&K Police, Simula Software and Atman College. Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Trophy player is the organizing secretary of the Tournament.
In the first  semifinal match was played today, JKP XI defeated ICC by 81 runs. Batting first, JKP team scored 236  runs in the allotted 20 overs for loss of 4 wickets. Vishwajeet scored cracking 88 runs off just 30 balls, while Jatin Wadhawan and Rajesh Gill contributed 66 and 40 runs to the total respectively. Ankush took 2 wickets, while Aslam and Arjun shared 1 wicket each.
ICC, in reply, bundled out for 155 runs in 19.2 overs. Sahil (44), Atul (32) and Amit (22) were the main scorers. Vishwajeet took 3 wickets, Vishal and Rompy took 2 wickets each, whereas Rajesh Gill and Pankaj claimed 1 wicket each.  Vishwajeet Singh was declared man of the match for his all-round performance.
In the second match, Rehari Club scripted a comfortable win against KC Sports Club.
Batting first, KC Sports Club scored 164 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Arjun Choudhary was in sublime touch and scored splendid 54 runs, while Ateev Saini and Abhishant contributed 46 and 39 runs to the rtotal respectively. Rahil took 2 wickets, while Rohit and Jatinder shared 1 wicket for Rehari Club.
In reply, Rehari Club achieved the target in 19.1 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Parveen Singh made 63 runs, while Shehzad and Gokul scored 24 and 21 runs respectively. Vivek  took 2 wickets, while Noushad and Arjun Choudhary took 1 wicket each. Parveen Singh was declared man of the match.
Earlier, in the last league match was played in the morning between Aircel and Royal Cricket Club, the former defeated the latter by 17 runs in a low scoring match.
The matches were officiated by Sunil Sambyal, Abhijyot Bedi, Suhail Yusuf, Farooq Ahmad and Yogesh.
JKP XI will face Rehari Cricket Club at 11.45 am tomorrow.
