JAMMU, Mar 25: JKP emerged overall champion, while Jammu District remained runners-up of the 20th Men and 6th Women J&K State Wrestling Championship, which concluded at Indoor Complex, M.A. Stadium, here today.
Around 150 wrestlers from all over the State took part in the Championship and the participating districts and teams included Poonch, Doda, Jammu, Srinagar, Samba, Reasi, J&K Police, Ramban and Udhampur.
The closing ceremony was attended by a galaxy of dignitaries.
Earlier, Dushyant Sharma, president J&K Wrestling Association and Former president Wrestling Federation of India presented welcome address, while vote of thanks was presented by Ajay Vaid, secretary J&K Wrestling Association
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajesh Gupta, MLA Jammu East, S Rangil Singh, president J&K Olympic Association, Ashwani Sharma, Ex MLA, Dr Ashutosh Sharma, secretary J&K Olympic Association, Pardeep Sharma, Sports secretary BJP Wing, Kuldeep Magotra, H S Gill, Abdul Qayum, Rajan Sharma, Ravi Singh, Ashok Singh, Satish Gupta , SP Singh, Vikas Gupta, Raju Pahalwan, Amit, Deeraj Sharma, Rakesh, Sukhdev, Mulkh Raj, Ravi Sharma, Om Parkash and Kulbir Singh.
