JKCC enters semis, AMCC sails into QFs

JAMMU, July 20: Junior Khalsa Cricket Club (JKCC) and Chacha Makhni Cricket Club (CMCC) outplayed their rivals to qualify for the semifinals and quarterfinals of the ongoing T20 Cricket Tournament respectively at Satwari Cantt ground here.
The Tournament is being organized by Youth National Conference Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under the supervision of Surinder Singh Bunty.
Earlier in the quarterfinal match, DCC won the toss and bundled out for a paltry total of 94 runs against JKCC. Nitin and Kulbir contributed 31 and 19 runs respectively. For JKCC, Vishal and Lovely took 3 wickets each, while Bunty and Prithvi claimed one wicket each.
In reply, JKCC chased the target by losing 8 wickets to win the match by 2 wickets and enter semifinals. Anil and Bunty made 21 and 15 runs respectively. For JCC Jagjot and Nitin bagged 2 wickets each, while Neeta claimed one wicket. Vishal was declared man of the match.
In another match, Chacha Makhni Cricket Club (CMCC) defeated Cantt Cricket Club by 34 runs. Batting first, CMCC scored 168 runs in 20 overs. Sahil and Jatin contributed 50 and 48 runs respectively. Ashish and Vijay took 3 wickets each, while Manik bagged 2 wickets.
Cantt Club in reply managed to score 132 runs to lose the match by 34 runs. Vijay and Rahul were main contributors with 25 and 22 runs respectively. For CMCC, Rahul, Raman, Satish and Soumay claimed 2 wickets each. Sahil was declared man of the match.
The match was officiated by Jatt Kaka and Akshay Singh as umpires, while Aman Cheema was the scorer.
