JAMMU, May 2: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has achieved another significant milestone with the selection of three officials and four players for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE) camps, reflecting the steady rise of cricketing talent from the Union Territory.
Among the officials, P Krishnakumar, bowling coach of JKCA’s Senior Men’s team, has been appointed as Bowling Coach for the U-19 Men’s High Performance Camp at the CoE in Bengaluru. The camp will be held from May 11 to June 9. Krishnakumar played an important role in JKCA’s successful 2025-26 Ranji Trophy campaign.
Shantanu Ghosh, who served as Head Coach of JKCA’s U-19 Men’s team, has been named Bowling Coach for the U-19 Elite Boys Camp at Ranipo, Sikkim, scheduled from May 11 to June 9.
Sunny Kumar, Strength and Conditioning Coach of JKCA’s Ranji Trophy-winning squad, has been selected as Trainer for the ongoing Senior Men’s North East Camp in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The camp is being conducted from April 20 to May 14.
On the players’ side, off-spinner Ridhima Rajput has earned selection in Team A for the U-19 Girls Elite Camp at the BCCI CoE. The camp, which began on April 27, will continue till May 23, 2026. Her selection follows an impressive performance in the U-19 Women’s One-Day Tournament this season.
Promising pacers Rajveer Singh Minhas and Tariq Nabi have been chosen as replacement players for the Elite U-16 Boys Camp in Ahmedabad, to be held from May 11 to June 6.
Further, promising young cricketer Adeeba Tariq has been handpicked for the prestigious BCCI U-15 Girls High Performance Camp. She will join an elite cohort of future stars at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, from May 18 to June 11.
Commenting on this milestone, JKCA Member-Administration Brig Anil Gupta said their achievements reflected hard work, dedication and the Association’s growing focus on excellence.
