JKBA holds referees clinic in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, May 10: Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association conducted a two-day referees clinic for candidates from Kashmir Division at Srinagar.
A total of 12 referees qualified in the examination conducted by the Technical Committee of the association following the completion of the clinic. The successful candidates were awarded certificates and JKBA referee T-shirts by Secretary J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul.
Speaking on the occasion, President of Srinagar District Basketball Association Faisal Hameed thanked the Secretary of the J&K Sports Council for extending support in organising the clinic at Gindun Sports Complex.
General Secretary JKBA Aman Sharma urged the J&K Sports Council to provide support for the development and revamping of basketball courts in Jammu and Srinagar and for converting the existing facilities into all-weather courts.
Among others present on the occasion were Dr Zeenat, former national player from J&K, Amir Meraj, Secretary DBA Srinagar Zahoor Daga and Khelo India basketball instructor Mir Mursaleen.
