Srinagar, Jan 14: As the Jammu and Kashmir Baseball Association (JKBA) is all set to participate in the forthcoming 29th Junior Baseball Championship for both the genders, the Association will be conducting selection trials to identify the potential players for the Championship on January 18, 2020.
The best players selected during the trials will then participate in the Championship scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat from January 27, 2020.
Pertinent to mention here, the Championship is being organized by the Gujarat Baseball Association under the auspices of Amateur Baseball Federation of India.
As per the statement issued here by the JKBA, the Association has decided to pick up the probable for the Baseball Championship during a selection trial which is going to be held at Polo Ground Srinagar on January 18 at 11 in the morning.
“During the said selection trials, preference will be given to those who have already represented J&K in Baseball at National Baseball Championships,” the statement said.
Further, all the affiliated district units, educational institutions and clubs of the Association are being directed to send their best probable to the selection trials along with original Date of Birth Certificates issued by the competent authority and 6 passport size photographs on the day of selection trials positively. “The players born after 2003 are eligible for the trials,” the statement added.
