MENDHAR, Apr 2: JKAP-6th Battalion has organized ‘Run for Fun’ under Civic Action Programme from Salwah to Battalion Hqrs, Behra, here today.
About 100 students of High School Salwah and its adjoining school children participated in the event. The event was flagged off at 8:30 hours from Salwah Station in the presence of huge gathering including prominent personalities who witnessed the event.
The sole aim and objective of organizing such event was to boost the morale of students and to strength, the relation bound between Police and Public.
In the event the following students of Salwah School clinched 1st, 2nd and 3rd position.
Shahnawaz Ahmed, son of Muneer Hussain, resident of Salwah bagged 1st position and was presented a cash award of Rs.5000, Imran Choudhary, son of Abdul Khaliq, resident of Salwah bagged second spot and won a cash prize of Rs.3000, while Mohd Awaiz, son of Mohd Azeem, resident of Kund Behra claimed 3rd spot and won Rs.2000 as a cash prize.
Seven more students were awarded with cash prize of (Rs1000 each) as consolation prize.
As a goodwill gesture, notebooks and pens were distributed among all the students in the presence of staff members of the schools/locals during the concluding ceremony.
The event was organized under the Chairmanship of Parshotam Kumar Sharma-SSP (KPS) Commandant JKAP-6th Battalion, assisted by Shahjahan Choudhary-DySP JKAP-6th Battalion and other staff members who have exhibited their excellent performance which led the event conducted in smooth manner.
