JAMMU, Dec 10: The J&K Amateur Boxing Association (JKABA) announced the organization of district-level boxing championships in Poonch and Srinagar for sub-junior, junior, youth and elite categories (boys and girls). The Poonch championship will be held at Sports Stadium Poonch on December 14, while the Srinagar event is scheduled at the Boxing Arena, Indoor Sports Complex Bakshi Stadium, on December 16.
The championships are conducted under the aegis of the Boxing Federation of India and J&K Olympic Association and sponsored by the J&K Sports Council. Interested boxers are required to submit their registration form, Aadhaar card, entry fee and photograph. Age categories are as follows: Sub-Junior (2011-2012), Junior (2009-2010), Youth (2007-2008) and Elite (1985-2006), said Rajan Sharma, Hony General Secretary, JKABA.
