JAMMU, Aug 6: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu organised ‘On-the-Spot Children Music Competition’ of Infant, Junior, Senior and Amateur Groups in KL Saigal Hall, here.
Over 150 children from various schools and music institutions participated in various categories.
To encourage various age groups from among school and college going children, Academy has been organizing On-the-Spot Children’s Music Competitions.
Children are called upon to display their talent by presenting items based on classical and light/ folk music (vocal as well as instrumental). Besides, awarding certificates, cash awards are given to the children adjudged best by the jury.
Earlier, the event was inaugurated by Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAACL.
The following awards were declared in various categories: Infant Group (Light/ Folk):3 Equal Prizes of Rs.750 each were awarded to Naman Preet Kour of Jammu Sanskriti School, Nishant Sharma of Jammu Sanskriti School and Anjali Pandita of KV Domana.
Junior Group (Light/ Folk): 1st Prize of Rs 1050 and 2nd Prize of Rs 825 were awarded to Aarush Gupta and Mandeep Singh and three Consolation Prizes of Rs 450 each were awarded to Pranavi Khajuria of Saraswati Sangeet Kala Mandir, Neelakshi Choudhary and Hari Priya of Saptak Sangeet Niketan.
SENIOR GROUP(Light/ Folk): 1st Prize of Rs 1500 and 2nd Prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Harleen Kour of JKPPS and Dharni Devi of DBN, Mubarak Mandi whereas three Consolation Prizes of Rs 600 each were awarded to Nirdosh Kumari, Tejasvi Virdhi and Sara Choudhary.
Amateur Group(Light/ Folk): 1st Prize of Rs 2100, 2nd Prize of Rs1500 and 3rd Prize of Rs1200 were awarded to Suwarjot Singh of SSV, Parul Kashyap of GGHSS Shastri Nagar and Harshit Sharma of SSV respectively.
Infant Group (Classical): Three equal Prizes of Rs750 each were awarded to Sarvaan Gupta of DPS, Jammu, Tanishqua of Sharda Sangeet Sadan and Rajanya Khajuria of Saraswati Sangeet Kala Mandir Junior Group(Classical): 1st Prize of Rs 1050 and 2nd Prize of Rs 825 were awarded to Ridhima Bajpai of DPS, Jammu and Saanvi Anand of Vital Statistics whereas three Consolation Prizes of Rs 450 each were awarded to Pavitra Sharma of Xavier Convent Barnai, Youraj of Saptak Sangeet Niketan and Riya of St. Peter HS, BC Road.
Senior Group (Classical): 1st Prize of Rs 1500 and 2nd Prize of Rs. 1200 were awarded to Vaikunth of KV No.1, Jammu and Hiteshree Anand of Adhyatmic Sangeet Sadan respectively.
AMATEUR GROUP (Classical): 1st Prize of Rs 2100, 2nd Prize of Rs.1500 and 3rd Prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Vanshika Jaral of GWC, Parade, Sunandini Jamwal of SSV, Jammu Shastri Nagar and Jasmeen Kour of GGHS, Shastri Nagar respectively.
Infant Group (Instrumental): Prize of Rs.750 was awarded to Sukhvir Singh of JKPPS, Miran Sahib,
Junior Group(Instrumental): 1st Prize of Rs 1050 and 2nd Prize of Rs 825 were awarded to Sarthak of Saptak Sangeet Niketan and Gourang Abrol of DPS, Jammu whereas three Consolation Prizes of Rs 450 each were awarded to Braj Bhushan of Rich Harvest School, Gunveir Singh of KV No.1 Jammu and Amitoj Singh of APS, Damana.
Senior Group (Instrumental): 1st Prize of Rs 1500 and 2nd Prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Divyaansh Sharma of DPS, Jammu and Navneet Singh of JKPPS, Miran Sahib
Amateur Group(Light/ Folk): 1st Prize of Rs 2100 and 2nd Prize of Rs1500 were awarded to Sushant Sathu and Bhaviya Koul respectively.
