JAMMU, Aug 13: Jammu and Karatekas sparkled in the14th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2018 held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, winning 20 medals with 4 gold, 3 silver and 13 bronze medals.
The gold medal winners included Manavi Bhushan, Yashas Dev Singh, Mumukshu Singh and Sourav Mehra, while the silver medals were bagged by Aditya Thakur, Mahir Mahajan and Kameshwar and the bronze medals were claimed by Manasvi Thakur, Aradhak Isher, Neetal Kumar, Ishan Malhotra, Vignesh Bhat, Sahil Sambayal, Rajat Singh, Brahmleen Kour, Lakshay Udit, Sushant Mangotra, Rajat Singh and Sahil Sambyal.
The other participants included Garima Parihar, Kesar Bhat, Divyanshi Parihar, Katayani Gupta, Arfaz ul Arshad, Kalyan Khajuria, Shashwat Saproo, Aditya Kumar, Vivek Bhagat, Harshit Singh, Poonam Salathia, Deepika Chuhan, Deepa Sharma and Anil Kumar.
Deepa Sharma and Anil Kumar were the coach and official respectively.
Ambedkar Gupta, National team coach, 6 Dan Black Belt lauded the efforts of the players for this achievement.
