JAMMU, Dec 2: Jammu and Kashmir Veteran Athletic Association is conducting open Union Territory Championship on December 7 and 8, 2019 at Government Women College Ground, Gandhi Nagar, here.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the Association, which among others was attended by its President Abdul Qayoom and General Secretary, Tarsem Lal Basotra.
The Association has invited all men and women athletes aging above 35, above 30 and children under-20 respectively to participate in this mega event.
The track and field events include 100 meters, 400 meters, 1500 meters, 5000 race, 10,000 race, 5000 meters walk and 3000 meters walk for women besides Javelin Throw, Discus Throw, Shot Put and Long Jump.
The Championship will be held at Chandigarh from February 8 to 11, 2020.
