JAMMU, Nov 25: The J&K Gateball Union achieved remarkable success at the 10th Indian Open Gateball Championship 2024, held in Pataudi, Haryana. Representing the J&K, one men’s and one women’s team delivered stellar performances, overcoming strong contenders such as Delhi & Pride Blues and Tripura & Junior Academy.
Acknowledging their exceptional efforts, the Indian Gateball Union announced that the championship’s next edition will be hosted in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, in 2025. This marks a significant achievement for the region, placing it on the national and international gateball map.
Sahil Ali Beigh, General Secretary of the J&K Gateball Union, expressed pride in the teams’ achievements and excitement about hosting the event, which promises to inspire local players and boost the sport’s popularity.
