J&K team selected for 23rd National Road Cycling C’ship

JAMMU, Nov 19: J&K State Sports Council conducted screening to select J&K Cycling team for its participation in 23rd National Road Cycling Championship to be conducted at Kurukshetra Haryana from November 21 to 24 at MA Stadium, here today.
The screening was conducted under the supervision of Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council, while Satish Gupta, Manager, Indoor Stadium, Ravinder Singh, President J&K State Cycling Association, Sarwant Singh Gill, General Secretary, J&K Cycling Association, Rajan Sharma, Ex-Divisional Sports Officer, Om Parkash Sharma, Veteran Cyclist and Ajay Kumar, Coach, J&K Cycling team were also present on the occasion.
For Senior (Indian Made), the selected cyclists are Rameez Raja and Waheed Ahmed, both from Budgam, whereas for Elite Men, the selected players are Mohammad Akbar Khan, Mohammad Adil Taili, Parwez and Mohammad Saleem, all from Budgam and Manan Hassan Wani from Sopore.
For Under-23, the selected cyclists are Aakershait Pathak from Kathua, Bazil Ahmad Rather from Ganderbal, Adil Ahmad Tali from Baramulla and Aaqib Rasool Ahanger from Srinagar.
For Men Junior, the selected cyclists are Suhail Ahmad Dar and Suhaib Ul Mehraj, both from Srinagar, Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, Amir Farooq Ganie and Bilal Ahmad Dar, trio from Budgam.
For Men Sub-Junior, the selected players Raman Manhas from Jammu, Mashooq Maqbool from Magam, Shiekh Saqibul, Shabir Ahmed Dar and Mohmiss Ismail, both from Budgam, Tsewang Namgyal and Jigmat Stobdan, both from Leh and Hashim Ul Nabi from Srinagar.
