SRINAGAR, Jan 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Snow Shoe Association accorded a warm welcome to international snow shoe athlete Muzamil Hussain in Srinagar following his bronze medal win at the 52nd Ciaspolada–2026 International Snow Shoe Race held in Fondo, Italy.
A 10-member Indian contingent participated in the Championship, including athletes Muzamil Hussain Mir, Akshir Singh Kush, Karan Sharma, Anshuman Boparai, Ankit Khokhar, Anjum Chaudhary, Dhaani Malhotra and Aashna Chaudhary, along with officials Abid Hussain and Harish Kumar.
Dr. Altaf-ul-Rehman, Secretary of the J&K Snow Shoe Association, hailed Muzamil’s achievement as a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir and Indian winter sports. JK Mountain Biking Association President Riyaz Wani also congratulated the athlete, praising his dedication and discipline.
