JAMMU, Nov 30: Jammu and Kashmir scored a modest total of 133 runs against Tripura in the first innings of the Cooch Behar Under-19 Boys Trophy 2019-20 at Police Training Academy Ground, Agartala in Tripura.
In reply, Tripura were 96/5 at the draw of stumps on Day-1 of the 4-day match today.
Earlier, put into bat, Jammu and Kashmir lost 3 early wickets within first seven overs. Younis Ahmad (0), Rhythm Mahajan (9) and skipper Kanhaiya Wadhawan (4) were the batsmen sent back to pavilion. However, Musaif Ajaz scored valuable 45 runs and Yawer Hassan contributed 31 runs to help J&K score 133 runs. All other batsmen failed to show much application. From Tripura, Saruk Hussain captured 5 wickets, while Ashish Kumar claimed four.
In reply, Tripura were 96/5 at the draw of stumps. Tanmoy Ghosh was unbeaten on 34 runs off 118 balls, while Sridam Paul and Rohit Ghosh contributed 17 and 16 runs to the total respectively. From Jammu and Kashmir, Basit Bashir took 2 wickets, while Azhar Amin Wani, Marutwan and Yawer Hassan claimed one wicket each.
