JAMMU, Dec 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police will be organising a five day long Inter-Battalion Sports Meet here from December 26.
The Inter-Battalion Sports Meet is an endeavour of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, which over the years has been organizing the event as part of its Annual Sports Calendar.
This was stated by Danish Rana, IGP Armed, Jammu while addressing media persons here today.
Mr Rana said that the motive for conducting this sports meet is to get young, energetic and outstanding players so that they can represent J&K Armed Police, in the forthcoming Inter Zonal Sports meet, besides show their talent in the State as well as at the national level tournaments.
“J&K has in its credit of holding several championships and Inter-Battalion Sports Meet is a step further to promote sports culture among our jawans so that a message of overall universal brotherhood is spread throughout our nation,” said the top cop.
He also said that that the meet will be declared open by ADGP Armed, where participants from different parts of the state and battalions, will get an opportunity to intermingle with each other and exchange culture.
