J&K Police team, Sports Council’s team emerge winners

SRINAGAR, Oct 9: J&K Police Football team and J&K Sports Council team emerged winners in the ongoing Khyber Premier Football League defeating Ali Jana FC and Food & Supplies XI by 6 goals to 1 and 2 goals to nil, being played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
The Police team dominated the play right from the start and gave no chances to helpless defenders of the Ali Jana FC. Hameem Fayaz opened the account for the Police team in the 6th minute of the play and Vivek Dogra doubled the lead just 10 minutes later. In the 30th minute, Shahid of Arco FC scored a goal, while Amir Hussain scored 3rd goal in the 35th minute for J&K Police XI.
In the 2nd half, it was the 55th minute when Neeraj Bahadur made another goal for the Police team, whereas in the 65th minute Ishfaq netted 5th goal and Faisal secured 6th goal in 75th minute for his team. Ishfaq Ahmad of Police team was declared as man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between Sports Council Football Academy and Food & Supplies XI wherein former defeated the latter by 2 goals to nil. Sahil scored 1st goal for J&K Sports Council team, while Pavez doubled the lead for the Council’s team in the 23rd minute. Parvez of J&K Sports Council was declared as man of the match.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing ‘PELE of KASHMIR League cum Knockout Football Tournament-2021 being played at Eidgah Playfield, the 5th match of the tournament between Young Rangrath FC and Saffalo FC remained goalless.
