J&K Police organizes Open Volleyball Tourney

JAMMU, Jan 30: Carrying forward its mission to develop and maintain better Police Public relations, District police Jammu today organized an Open Volleyball Tournament at Jagti Township, Nagrota, under its ‘Civic Action Programme’.
Total eight teams viz. Manwal, Jhajjarkotli, Jagti (local), Jagti (migrants), Jagti High School, Kamini Nagrota, Sidhra-A and Sidhra-B participated in the tournament.
Santosh Kumar Pandita, Principal, Government HSS Migrants Jagti, was the chief guest while Shadi Lal Pandita was the guest of honour.
Khaliq Hussain, SDPO Nagrota who organized the tournament on behalf of SSP Jammu, was also present along with Inspector Vinod Kumar, SHO Nagrota, SI Hilal Mohd Azhar, SHO Jhajjarkotli and SI Mohd Arif, In-charge, PP Sidhra. The prominent persons of the area including local Sarpanch and Panches were also present.
Jagti (migrants) emerged as winner of the tournament whereas Sidhra-A stood runner-up.
Besides trophies to the winner as well as runner up teams, mementoes, medals, track suits and cash rewards were also presented to all the players of both the teams by the chief guest accompanied by Rajiv Panday, SP (Rural) Jammu.
