J&K Peace T-20 C’ship begins today

JAMMU, Aug 28: J&K Peace T-20 Championship by Vishal Cricket Club will begin tomorrow at Parade Ground.
In the Championship, five teams namely Jammu Tigers Cricket Eleven, Jammu Warriors Cricket Eleven, Jammu Kings Cricket Eleven, Jammu Superstars Eleven and Jammu Sun risers Cricket Eleven.
The Championship will be played on league basis and the objective of the tournament is to provide opportunity to the school budding cricketers to play with each other in order to hone their skills and to get exposure of playing a good number of matches.
The Slogan of the tournament is “Lets’ Play for Peace”.
The Championship will be organized under the supervision of Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Player and Organizing Committee members includes Vinay Gupta, Vijay Saberwal, Vivek Sharma, Vivek Shekher, RP Singh, Madan Mohan, Deepak Baba, Vivek Singh, Ravi Sharma, Jagtar Singh, Gurupartap Singh and Suresh Singh.
Simrandeep Singh, DC Jammu will inaugurate the Championship at Parade Ground at 2.30 pm.
The Championship will be organized in two venues namely Parade Ground and Sehwag Academy and each team will play eight league matches in the first round.
The officials of the Championship are Sudhir Singh, Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Sadiq Hussain, Sanju, Sandeep Manchanda, Suhail and Vinod.
