JAMMU, Dec 21: A grand and emotionally charged reception was given to the Jammu & Kashmir Men’s Softball Team at Jammu Railway Station as they returned home after winning a Bronze Medal at Senior National Softball Championship-the first-ever national-level medal for J&K. The team was welcomed with loud cheers, slogans, garlands and traditional drumbeats, turning the station into a festive arena.
Players expressed their joy through energetic dances to the beat of the Dhol, celebrating their historic achievement. Officials of the J&K Softball Association, coaches, family members and sports enthusiasts felicitated the medallists. Association representatives hailed the team for bringing laurels to the Union Territory, inspiring young sportspersons, and emphasizing J&K’s sporting potential.
