J&K lose to Vidarbha despite Bandeep, Ramdayal fifties

JAMMU, Feb 6: Despite brilliant half-centuries by Bandeep Singh and Ramdayal Punia, Jammu and Kashmir lost to Vidarbha in their first outing of Vijay Hazare One Day Tournament at Hyderabad today.
Earlier, put into bat, Vidarbha scored 245 runs in 48.2 overs. Ganesh Satish and JM Sharma scored 94 and 41 runs resepctively. For Jammu and Kashmir, Umar Nazir took 3 wickets, while skipper Parvez Rasool and Ramdayal took 2 wickets each. Waseem Raza and Mohammad Mudhasir claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Jammu and Kashmir managed to score 172 runs to lose the match by 73 runs. Bandeep Singh and Ramdayal scored 53 and 55 runs respectively. Waseem Raza and Parvez also chipped in with 17 and 14 runs respectively. For Vidarbha, SB Wagh took 3 wickets, while Umesh Yadav, Karan Sharma and YR Thakur took 2 wickets each.
