JAMMU, Feb 17: Veteran Cricket Association J&K XI lifted the second edition of the Legend Masters 2.0 Inter-State Veteran T20 Cricket Championship, defeating Hyderabad in a thrilling final. Hyderabad settled for the runners-up trophy after a nail-biting finish.
The final ceremony was attended by Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG Jammu, Samba, Kathua Range, as the chief guest and Dr. Tahir Chowdhury, BJP Spokesperson, as the guest of honour. The tournament was organized by the Veteran Cricket Association J&K, in collaboration with the Excise Department J&K, Batra Group and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospital.
Shiv Kumar Sharma praised the participation of veteran players from regions like the UK, UAE and Delhi, calling it a reminder that “age is just a number.” Dr. Chowdhury congratulated the association for promoting veteran cricket. Individual awards included Player of the Tournament to Nazar Hussain, Best Bowler and Best Batsman to Vishwajit Naik of Hyderabad.
