JAMMU, Oct 15: Kick Boxing Junior National team won a total of 11 medals including 1 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze, in different events in the 19th Junior National Kick Boxing Championship (JNKBC) held at Balewali, Pune from October 10 to 13, 2014.
The team comprising 27 students was escorted by Danish Padha as team coach and Charan Singh as team manager. On returning back to Jammu today, the team was warmly welcomed by State general secretary, Kick Boxing Association J&K, Abhishek Jain and technical director, Vivek Bassan.
A total of 750 students from 26 states of the Country participated in the Championship.
The gold medal for J&K was won by Avneesh Bakshi, silver medals by Zulkar Choudhary, Abhishek Sharma, Danish Kumar, Priya Thakur and Nazam Din while bronze medals were won by Priya Kumari, Royal Raina, Aqib Mugal, Vikram Singh and Jivitesh Singh.
