J&K Karate team shines at 33rd National Karate C’ship

JAMMU, Aug 21: The J&K Karate Team has made the Union Territory proud with a stellar performance at the 33rd National Karate Championship 2025, held at Raipur Chhattisgarh. The event saw participation from top athletes across the country.
Mohammad Zaid clinched a Silver Medal in the 14-15 age category, showcasing his exceptional technique and determination. Moeen Shafkat (14-15), Murtaza Sultan (16-17) and Rudhr Dewan (18) each brought home Bronze Medals, adding to the team’s impressive medal tally.
This success is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and resilience of the athletes, as well as the unwavering support from their coaches and management. Rudhr Dewan, who not only competed but also served as the team manager, playing a key role in guiding the team.
The team credits much of their success to their Chief Instructor, Shihan Sanjeev Dewan, 6th Degree Black Belt and Founder Member of AKAJ.
