JAMMU, Dec 27: The three-day long JK UT Judo Championship organized by Judo Association J&K under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association started here today at Indoor Complex of MA Stadium.
About 400 Judokas from Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Reasi, Kishtwar, Ganderbal, Srinagar, Anantnag and Budgam are participating in the Championship.
Purnima Sharma, Ex. Dy. Mayor was chief guest on this occasion and she distributed medals and certificates among the participants.
The bouts were officiated by Sr. Judo Coach, Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Ritika Slathia, Shakti Gupta, Jugal Kishore, Danish Sharma and Yashika Jamwal. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Suraj Bhan Singh, Manager Indoor Complex MA Stadium Jammu, Vis Gupta, Suraj Sharma, general secretary JA J&K and Rakesh Sharma while Manish Chatwal is the organizing secretary.
