JAMMU, Apr 26: Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association selected both men and women handball teams to participate in 21st North Zone (Men and Women) Handball Championship to be held at Mini Stadium, Parade Ground here from April 28 to April 30, 2016.
The women team consisting of 16 members namely Mega, Arushi, Simran, Riya, Priya, Priya Dev, Anu Sharma, Rishika, Kashish, Garima, Sukanya, Ashu, Geeta, Poonam, Karuna and Richa.
Gaurav Kumar will be accompanying the women team as coach and Nisha Verma will be the manager.
The 16 members men team named by Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association included Harmeek Singh, Nitin Sharma, Neeraj Singh, Sahil Padha, Rahul, Abhimanu, Amandeep, Sachin Manhas, Ashish Sharma, Sahil, Happy Mehra, Kesar, Vishal Vij, Ashraf,Vikrant and Anuj Langer.
Rajinder Kumar will be the team coach and Sanjeev Jamwal as the manger of men team.
President of the Association, Dr SM Bali, general secretary, Ashwani Kumar Raina, Ranjit Singh Chib, vice president and joint secretary, Rajinder Kumar, besides Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Rajan Sharma, Sports Officer, Rashid Ahmed, Member J&K State Sports Council and Ravi Kumar, Manger lauded were present on the occasion.
