J&K enters handball semis

JAMMU, Nov 22:  Defeating Haryana by (39-33) goals in quarterfinals,  J&K entered into the semifinals of the 1st All India Raizada Perhlad Bali Handball Federation Gold Cup, here today.
The Main scorers from J&K were Harmeek Singh with 16 goals and Pankaj who netted 5 goals.
other three teams which have qualified for the last four stage are Army Red, Delhi and Punjab Police.
Anandeshwer Pandey, vice president Handball Federation of India was the chief guest in today’s proceedings, who distributed sports bags to all the players of all participating teams on the occasion.
The semifinal will be played between J&K and Punjab Police and Army Red and Delhi.
In the matches played today, Army Red beat MEG by 24-18 goals, Punjab Police defeated UP by 24-15 goals, Delhi got better of CRPF by 31-29 and J&K outplayed Haryana by 39-33.
