JAMMU, Feb 6: J&K Divyang’s team Blue trounced Red team by 3 wickets and levelled the 5-matches series with 1-1, being organised by Divyang Cricket Control Board of India at Army Ground Daskal Akhnoor, near here today.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, chairman of J&K Divyang Cricket Association.
J&K Divyang Red team won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, Divyang Red team scored 119 runs by losing all wickets in 19.4 overs wherein Gopal Sharma made highest 26 runs, while Ajeet Raj and Shanty made 18 and 17 runs and Arun Kumar and Vikas Sharma contributed 15 and 14 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Jagdish was the wrecker-in-chief who got 4 wickets, while Ashanand and Bittu shared 2 wickets each and Tarsem Lal clinched 1 wicket.
In reply, J&K Divyang team chased the set target by losing only 7 wickets in 19.4 overs, in which Deepak Sharma made 66 runs, while Tarsem and Ashanand contributed 21 and 12 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Gopal Sharma got 3 wickets, while Ajeet Raj and Abhinab bagged 2 wickets each.
Deepak Sharma was declared as man of the match for his outstanding batting.
Vinod Kumar and Shindi were the umpires, while Rahul Sharma acted as scorer.
