J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides celebrates ‘World Thinking Day-2024’

JAMMU, Feb 22: J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides celebrated ‘World Thinking Day-2024’ at State Headquarters, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides celebrated this day in a befitting, nice, vibrant, sonorous and amiable manner. The theme of the year was “Our World, Our Thriving Future: The Environment and Global Poverty”.
The programme was celebrated under the leadership of Nasreen Khan, State Secretary cum Administrative Officer. I D Soni, former State Commissioner of J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides who was the Chief Guest, Mool Raj Assistant Director YS&S and Sukhdev Sharma; District YS&S Officer presided over the function.
Dr Renu Nanda, State Commissioner Ranger, Ashok Kumar, Prabha Jain, Sakina Bano, Dr Monica Narang, Invited Professors from various Colleges and Head of the institutions were the guests of honour on this occasion.
MM Joshi, National Commissioner for SP/State Commissioner (S) threw light on the laudable performance of the J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides and on the importance of the World Thinking Day and encouraged Scouts and Guides to take the oath to reflect on the vision that Baden-Powell described so passionately.
I D Soni appreciated the steps being taken to spread the message of this noble movement to every corner of the State. On the occasion Golden Arrow award certificates were presented to Cubs and Bulbuls and Manjeet Kour was awarded with the appreciation certificate for her active role in running her unit.
