JAMMU, Apr 4: The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) UT Boys and Girls Basketball teams left today to participate in the 70th Youth National Basketball Championship, set to take place in Pondicherry from April 9 to 16. The championship will feature top young basketball talent from across the country and J&K’s teams are eager to showcase their skills.
The Girls Team U-16 consists of the following players: Pallvi, Privanshi Gupta, Rithika Saini, Anshra Iftikhar, Ipshita, Shagun Bandral, Gunsheen Kour, Ananya Bandral, Mahi Kour, Namah Gupta, Aarika Singh and Ajiti Kikloo.
While the Boys team U-16 includes Manish Yadav, Sahildeep Singh, Anees Mehmood, Ranveer, Deva Sya Sharma, Varun Sharma, Akshit Gupta, Ansh Choudhary, Ramneet Singh, Kartik, Salman Ali Hakim and Ishant Sharma.
The girls’ team is coached by Kiran Kour, while Sushma Jamwal serves as the head coach. Ashok Singh Jamwal, Senior Vice President of the Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association (JKBA), will lead the contingent as the head of delegation. Both teams were screened by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) to ensure they are fully prepared for the competition.
